How to Get From Graz (Austria) to Brno (Czechia) by Train
Yet again, it was time to move on. We spent 3 days in Graz and thought that was enough. There is plenty to see in Graz, but the town has a bit of an austere feel.
We had just come from Maribor, which is a beautiful town where almost every street is lined with trees. Graz mostly has streets devoid of any greenery. The place would look a whole lot better with more trees.

It’s 326 km from Graz to Brno, yet the tickets cost 75.20 EUR each. Go figure.
I feel like we’ve been ripped off.
Our Train
Our train was new and modern. At least we got a great train for our money.
The train had luggage racks, which have been a bit of a rarity on our train journeys so far. The train also had a restaurant car, a quiet carriage, and a family carriage. The quiet carriage wasn’t very quiet though because there were long announcement before and after every stop. It got very annoying in the end.
The seating was very comfortable with plenty of legroom.
A food and drinks trolley came around a few times. They served Starbucks coffee but it didn’t taste anything like Starbucks coffee. It was pretty awful.
The train had pretty fast wifi and worked well for the whole journey.
Brno Train Station
The train was a few minutes’ late arriving.
