Kotor Old Town Cats Museum and Cats

If you love cats, you’ll love Kotor in Montenegro. Kotor is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but most people don’t know that there are hundreds of friendly cats roaming around the old town.

Everywhere you look, you’ll see cats. Sit down for food and there’ll be a few cats wanting to share your meal. Kotor also has a small cat museum. It doesn’t have any real cats though, just old and interesting cat photos and cat adverts. The 1 EUR admission fee is used to help feed the town’s cats.

You won’t find any skinny, under-nourished cats in Kotor. They’re all well-fed and spend their days either asleep in the sun and trying to get food from tourists.
