Ljubljana Photo Diary
We only spent 4 days in Ljubljana so didn’t take many photos. It’s not our first visit, so we decided to just chill instead of checking out all the attractions.
But I still wanted a record of what we did see, so here it is. There is so much more to see than what’s here, so go explore the city yourself.
Franciscan Church of the Annunciation & Ljubljanica River
The Franciscan Church of the Annunciation is the focal point of the city. This is where most tourists tend to gather. There are cafes and restaurants lining the river in both directions.
Dragon Bridge
Another major point of interest is Dragon Bridge. The dragon is also the symbol of Ljubljana.
There are four dragons on the bridge – one on each corner. To the right of the above image is the market area.
You’ll also see this dragon made from small tiles on a wall near the bridge.
Artwork
I came across this small piece of artwork near the river. I don’t have any idea of why it’s there.
Street Art
Ljubljana is full of street art and graffiti. I liked artwork above the best.
If you like this type of street art, be sure to visit Metelkova City Autonomous Cultural Centre.
St. Peter’s Parish Church
We came across this beautiful church while wandering around.
What follows is a set of random photos from around the city.
I hope you get a chance to visit this great city yourself.
