Review of Our 1-Bed Dubrovnik Airbnb Apartment
We spent 3 days in Dubrovnik on our way from Sarajevo to Kotor. After spending almost a month in Bosnia, it was quite shocking how expensive Dubrovnik was. But Croatia in general seems to be getting increasingly expensive as the years go by.

The Living Room
Our apartment was the perfect size for one or two people staying a few days. The settee could be converted into a bed, so this apartment would probably work for a small family as well. The layout was good and we didn’t feel like we lacked space.
It was also great that we had a small table that we used for eating and a little work.
The Kitchen
The kitchen was small but had enough pots and pans and other utensils to be able to cook small meals. We mostly ate out though, so it was a good-enough size for us.
There was an aircon unit in the room which we appreciated, as the weather wasn’t great when we visited Dubrovnik.
The Bedroom
The bedroom had a comfortable double bed, a small wardrobe, a large shelving unit, and two small tables. We slept well, as the room was dark and quiet. Just like we like it.
The Bathroom
The bathroom looked like it had been very recently renovated. It had a large walk-in shower that had great water pressure. Soap and shampoo were provided.
There was also a new washing machine. That’s something we always appreciate when we’re traveling.
The Balcony
There was a balcony off the bedroom that also had an area to dry washing. We didn’t use it, as it was too cold during our stay at the beginning of April.
Wifi
The apartment had free wifi that was fast and worked well during our stay.
The Location
You couldn’t get a much better location than this. It’s just 100 meters to Ploče Gate of the old town. There are three restaurants within 50 meters of the apartment and also two supermarkets 100-200 meters away.
Getting to the apartment from the bus station
If you’re arriving in Dubrovnik by bus, the apartment is around 3 km away. See How to Get From Dubrovnik Bus Station to the Old Town for details.
Once you get off the bus at the old town, you need to enter the old town via the main entrance and walk straight ahead until you come to a gate at the far end. Walk through that and the road curves to the left. Follow that all the way to the top and you’ll be at Ploče Gate. The apartment is only around 100 meters from there. You can see the building from the gate.
