Thai Food in Maribor, Slovenia

We weren’t expecting to find any Thai food restaurants in Maribor but came across one on our first walk into the old town.

We decided to stop for lunch and were very happy with what we got. The portion sizes were quite large and the food was real Thai food cooked by the Thai chef. As we spend most of our time living in Bangkok, it was nice to have a taste of home.

I chose Panang Curry, as Thai curries are some of my favorite foods. I loved it.

My wife had Pad Thai and she was equally impressed. Pad Thai is probably the best-known Thai food.

The cost was a very reasonable 8 EUR each.

The restaurant is located along the parade of shops opposite Basilica of Our Mother of Mercy. There is seating inside and outside.

My only complaint is that the restaurant is only open from Monday to Friday.

If it’s closed, try the excellent Pekarna Piramida fast food restaurant about 10 meters away.
