Tiryaki Apartment, Mostar – a 400-meter Walk to Stari Most
We wanted to stay another week at our Mostar Airbnb apartment, but someone else had already made a 2-night booking. We decided to book the nearby Teryaki Apartment for two nights before heading back to the Airbnb for a week.
Teryaki Apartment is on a small lane next to Lucki Most. From this bridge, you can take some great photos of the old bridge, Stari Most.
The location couldn’t be much better, as the Stari Most is just a 400-meter walk away.
There is a small grocery shop just across the road and a larger supermarket around 200 meters away.
View of apartment from the bridge
The apartment is very easy to find, as you can see it from Lucki Most bridge, as shown in the image above.
The apartment we stayed at is on the top floor of a 3-story building that looks fairly new. It’s located right next to the Neretva River. The friendly Teryaki family live on the ground floor, so it’s easy to pop down if you need anything of have any questions about the apartment.
Arrival at Teryaki Apartment
When we arrived at the apartment, we were shown to our room and then the owners made us both a Bosnian coffee. It was a very nice welcome and something you rarely get when traveling.
Living Room & Kitchen
The living room had a huge settee that could also be used as a bed. The room was spacious and minimal, which was perfect for us.
There was an open-plan kitchen with a hob, small fridge, and kettle. Pots and pans, dishes, and cutlery were provided.
There was enough tea and coffee provided for our 2-night stay.
Bedroom
The bedroom was small and minimal. The one thing it lacked was a wardrobe. There wasn’t anywhere to hang our clothes. That was ok for a 2-night stay but would have got a little frustrating with a longer stay. There was aircon in both the living room and bedroom.
It was fairly cold during our stay, but the aircon warmed the apartment up very quickly.
Bathroom
The bathroom was small but great for a couple of nights. The shower worked well and the water pressure was great.
Outside Seating
There is seating outside the apartment that has great views towards the mountains. This is a reat place to have your morning coffee or some evening drinks.
Wifi
The wifi speed was a little disappointing, but it worked fine the whole time we were there.
We booked the apartment directly via the owners, as we had previously walked past it and liked the location. It was also near our Airbnb apartment, so it wasn’t too far to walk to and from.
We paid 25 EUR per night which seemed pretty reasonable for what we got.
