Vegan and Vegetarian Food Around Phrom Phong BTS Station in Bangkok

If you’re looking for vegan or vegetarian food in Bangkok, head to the area around Phrom Phong BTS (skyrain) station. This is a great location for all kinds of food. If I fancy some veggie food, I usually head to one of the two food courts mentioned below.

EmQuartier Food Court

EmQuartier Food Court is at the basement level of EmQuartier shopping mall. There’s a walkway directly from Phrom Phong BTS station. The vegan/vegetarian food stall offers pre-cooked food. You choose white or red rice and a selection of dishes.

Rice and three selections cost 95 baht. In the above photo I have three selections plus two spring rolls. The spring rolls are 20 baht each. The cost of the above meal was 135 baht (around $4). They also server noodle dishes.

You can pay by bank app, credit card or food court card. If paying by the latter, just load up the card with cash at the counter near the entrance. You take the card back at the ned to get refunded any money you haven’t used.

This food court is open from 10:00 to 20:00 every day.

Emporium Food Court

Emporium Food Court is on the 4th floor of Emporium shopping mall. There’s a walkway directly from Phrom Phong BTS station. Nearly all the food stall here cook the meals to order. At the vegan stall, there are pictures of all the dishes, so just point to what you want and you can see them cook it.

The above noodle dish was just 80 baht (around $2.50).

The above dish also cost 80 baht. I eat at both the above food courts every week. The food is very good quality.

Where to stay in Bangkok

If you’re looking for a great hotel in this area that’s reasonably priced, I can recommend St. James Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 26. It’s only a 5-minute walk from both Emporium and EmQuartier food courts.
