Vegan Gelato and Cakes in Kotor Old Town – Cattarissimo
We found a great gelato and cake shop in the center of Kotor’s old town that sells fantastic vegan gelato and cakes. Even if you’re not vegan, you’ll still love the vegan gelato.
Other people I’ve spoken to even say that the gelato is better than any non-vegan gelato they’ve tasted. Prices are very reasonable as well.
There are a variety of vegan gelato flavors, including lemon, blueberry, strawberry, banana, raspberry, nectarine, black cherry, and coconut. My favorite was blueberry.
There may be a few non-vegan flavors, so check with the staff if you need to, as this isn’t a vegan store.
The shop also sells a variety of vegan cakes. It also sells coffee, but they don’t have any non-dairy milk available, which is a bit strange. However, I read that the café next door does have vegan milk available.
This shop is around 100 meters from the main gate and only 30 meters from the Cats Museum. In the same square as the Cat Museum there’s a restaurant that has vegan breakfast and a few other vegan meals. We didn’t eat there, but there is a photo of the menu below.

Where to stay in Kotor
We stayed at Old Town Square Kotor Apartment for our first three nights and then moved to Boskovic Apartment for the next three nights. They have the same owner. We wanted to stay at the first apartment but it had already been booked by someone else.
